For nearly two decades, glowing orbs have visited one family's stretch of a North Carolina river. They come when he says they'll come. Film crews have watched it happen. We believe all of it, without reservation. Which leaves this organization with a single, volcanic grievance: eighteen years of visitations and not one photograph is in focus.
Do the math with us. Thousands of orb appearances. Hundreds of witnesses. An era in which every human being carries a camera that can shoot 4K video of a moth at midnight. And the visual record of the most cooperative phenomenon in history remains, respectfully, a porch light in a hurricane.
We are not saying the orbs aren't real. We are saying the orbs deserve better. Somewhere out there is a luminous intelligence that has posed, patiently, for eighteen years, waiting for humanity to discover the focus ring.
Let the record further show: these are the most reliable coworkers in America. An intelligence that has kept every appointment for eighteen years. Rain. Holidays.
